I’ve used Bosch mixers for years — and they’re a real workhorse for homesteaders, bakers, and busy families alike. I love my Universal Plus because it handles double batches of whole wheat bread with no problems. When I was a young mother and tried using bread machines, I burnt out three of them before I invested in a Bosch. It’s been with us ever since.

I would love to have the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer in my kitchen. I would use the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer to make bread for our family. Because it can handle large batches of dough, I could make all our bread for the week & we could stop buying store bought bread. It would be great to make our own bread! Thank you for offering us a chance to win the Bosch mixer. It’s exciting. I hope I win it.
l would love to win the Bosch Universal Mixer ,to make my days of making my breads, rolls, and cookie and pasta doughs with ease.As l had an accident, not my fault, just at the wrong place and time and being kind to someone l didn’t know personally, just a stranger at the event. Both my arms and wrists and hands were severed off from each other and crushed and on one hand the bone pierced through the top of my hand. After hours of just trying to keep me stable and taken from one hospital to another city and hospital than to surgery with two Drs.and two teams of nurses etc.one for each arm, wrist, and hand. Then before l got into surgery they didn’t think l was going to make it so they broke protocol and all agreed and let a nurse go get her cell phone and called my only daughter so l could say my good byes and were l had the lockbox to my will and health wishes.Nurse had to hold the phone the whole time to my ear so l could talk. She cried, and said that was the saddest thing she had ever witnessed. The Drs.only gave me two minutes to get everything said and that l loved her so very much. Then it was lights out for me and a bit over 6-7 hours of surgeries later ,l was sliding off a slide board into a bed and two police officers were going by and helped the crew of people to lift me over in the bed cause,of all the IVs tubing and machines in their way. They told me they put me in a coma for a day or so and than reversed it some how and took me back out of the coma.Had to do with the pain of it all.l remember them asking me what day and if l knew where l was.l replied the right answers except l was off on the date cause of being in surgery an all so l just gave date it happened. Then l was In hospital for quite awhile than home to an apt.were it’s disabled and elderly. They got nurses, and therapists to come in to help me.They had to absolutely do everything,as l didn’t have no arms or hands showing they were all wrapped up and on boards like and special casting stuff under it. l didn’t get my full use back till 2 years later and only because,l fought with everything I had left in me to get feeling in them again and use of them.l did a lot of crying but always kept a good attitude and laughed a lot. They even asked me how l could laugh on stuff when being in the therapy sessions on my arms and wrists and hands.l just told them about my faith in God.That l knew it would be what he wanted it to be for me. l now have the use of them but it was touch and go to being amputated off from the shoulder.l still drop things and have a hard time doing my bread, cookie, pasta, and rolls dough.l don’t have much strength in them long and they are painful. As l’m now filled with a long bar in my arms that looks like a long handled spoon to a bar brace in my wrists to each rods and screws all the way in each finger that looks like Christmas trees in my complete hands under my skin.My Drs.said l have some fancy hardware in those hands and arms and we laughed. I’m So, Sorry this is So long of an Explanation Why l Truly Would Cherish Winning the Bosch Universal Mixer.I just wanted you to know how l’d really feel and the need of it being a true blessing to have been won and given to to make all my doughs so much easier.
We are lovers of all things bread and pizza is a constant with our family gatherings. A Bosch mixer would really be a delight to add to our baking.
I would love to win the Bosch mixer. I’ve been using my old kitchen aide & it struggles to mix just two loaves of sour dough bread. I enjoy your bread book & I always read your news letter with your helpful tips. Thank you for all you do.
I bought your bread book over a year ago and have loved it! And now I see you’re having a contest for a Bosch. I would love to try one out! I would use it for everyday breads, and also for experimenting with special breads as gifts or for holidays. I’m always the one my friends come to for bread related recipes 😉
Thank you ~ I appreciate how you share your knowledge and experience with us. I may have been homesteading for decades, but I’m always learning something new.
I would use it to make more homemade items, rather than buy them at the store!
My adult daughter and family just moved to their new home, leaving me time to truly be a wife again! I plan to put this mixer to good use, cooking from “scratch “ now that I am not tending grandkids 24-7!
I would love to have the mixer but I’m sure there are plenty of people who need it a lot more than I do. I would like to know how others use freeze dried apples to make apple pie? I freeze dried apples bunch of them and we do love to just eat them as snacks but I would love to be able to use them to make pie or cobbler with.
Being of the same generation as you, I’ve enjoyed keeping up with your lives on a grander scale than in my small corner of the world. I can only dream. With a micro homesteadish lifestyle, useful gold nuggets of wisdom from you is always appreciated and utilized! As for the drawing for the mixer, I often entertain large groups of folks with my jimmy rigged Pinterest inspired outdoor brick ovens (two to keep up!) making wood fired pizza. That’s a lot of dough to mix up by hand. An electric mixer sure sounds like a welcomed relief to my poor forearms and back! Don’t get me wrong, I love exercise! But I also love having energy left over for mingling with company while cooking the pizzas in the double oven.
Since I don’t have any type of stand mixer, winning the Bosch mixer would allow me to make many of the entree snd side dish recipes that I’ve saved. I am expanding my grain-free baked food options and some of those recipes also call for using a stand mixer. Thanks much!
I do a lot of baking and would love to try the Bosch mixer. Thank you!
I would use this mixer to mix all kinds of goodies that I love to make. My fingers are getting more and more weak and painful as arthritis slowly gets more aggressive. Opening anything is so hard to do. Both my mom and dad had the same issues; doc says it’s inherited and there’s no fixing them. Just peachy!
I’ve never used a Bosch mixer before, but have been so intrigued by it!! i saw it on a YouTube channel I used to watch and never knew what it was! I think making ANYTHING with it would be the bomb. thanks!!
I would love to win the Bosch mixer. I have celiac disease and have yet to find a store bought gluten free bread that I like. With the mixer I would be able to make my own bread using gluten free ingredients. Thank you for your site and emails. I too have a percolator, actually 2. Love them. The one is for when we’re camping and of course, the other for home use. Thank you
What a special gift to share with my Daughter in laws, both are bread bakers, who have encouraged me on my journey of Sour dough baking. Love your blog.
I would try so many new things, but to start, I would definitely make fresh bread! Lots of it!
I would use this mixer for making bread and muffins for my granddaughter.
I would love to mix doughs, and try all the functions that I see on the machine! It looks very different from the Kitchen Aid mixer and even though I love my mixer, the Bosch has more options!
I would use the Bosch mixer for sourdough bread that I aim to learn how to make. Thank you for all of your newsletters and tips, and also for this chance.
I’ve been looking into buying a grain mill and this mixer would be the perfect accompaniment to making fresh bread. I hope I win! Thank you!
