I’ve used Bosch mixers for years — and they’re a real workhorse for homesteaders, bakers, and busy families alike. I love my Universal Plus because it handles double batches of whole wheat bread with no problems. When I was a young mother and tried using bread machines, I burnt out three of them before I invested in a Bosch. It’s been with us ever since.

My husband and I make pizza dough weekly as the family comes over for brick oven fired pizza every Friday. Our current kitchenaid mixer has a hard time handling the dough so we have to split it into 2 batches. We have also recently ventured into the world of sourdough baking. This mixer would be a wonderful addition to our food adventure.
Over three years ago, I moved from California to Florida and I still have not been able to get my own place. I’m just renting a room from my stepbrother and I don’t have a mixer. Winning this would motivate me to get in the kitchen more because I used to be an avid baker back in California. I miss it very much, and I also miss my cast stove. The things we take for granted until we no longer have them.
I’d probably use it to knead bread dough and to make large batches of cookies!
With this mixer I would hope to make better bread and it would be fun to make all goodies such as bars, cakes and cookies.
I would love to be able to make bread again. This mixer would allow me to do that.
If i get the mixer, ill use it to make bread and cookies for my grandparents
I would bake more bread if I won the Bosch mixer!!
I have been admiring the Bosch for a long time. I would love to win one!
please enter me in the contest. Thank you
I would use it for kneading bread dough, making pizza dough and mixing cookie dough. My current mixer is just a cheap one, and just making mashed potatoes makes it smell like it’s overheating. So I don’t use it much. I would love to have one with a stronger motor inside. I am intrigued that the Bosch Universal Plus can be used with attachments that would work as a food processor and a blender! That would be a powerful blender!
I want to start making breads for me and my husband. All I have at home is a hand mixer and I have arthritis and can’t knead the bread dough for 5-10 min at a time. I love reading your emails and look forward to them every week.
Sincerely
I would love the opportunity to explore all the benefits of this mixer. It looks amazing! My kitchen aid is getting pretty tired! Thank you!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I would definitely step up my once a week loaf if I had a countertop helper haha!
Can’t wait to use this to make baby food for my grand daughter!
Currently I have a Kitchen Aid mixer – this is my second one. My first one over heated while making bread dough, so I bought a bigger and more industrial model. I have had this one for the last 20 years. Recently my son-in-law and I purchased a mill to grind our own flour. Of course, I searched out the best recipe for freshly milled flour only to discover that my Kitchen Aid had difficulty with the kneading process. With recipes that I found, I saw that the Bosch mixer was used and raved about. These are fascinating mixers and I believe it is time for better mixer! My grandkiddos are learning and testing out their own recipes. I believe this mixer would be a great hand-me-down for them and keep them interested in doing their own bread making for years to come.
Would love to have the Bosch for family and holiday baking!! Large enough to make for friends too.
Winning the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would be immensely helpful for us as I already bake all of our breads, cakes, pies, and cookies, due to food allergies. Currently, I set aside several days each month to bake different things we like, then stash extras in the freezer for later. My current mixer is too small to scale up most recipes successfully, so I have to run multiple batches of the same recipe, over and over, just to be able to save some for the freezer. That means that I can usually only make one or two different recipes in a given day because I run out of time for other things that have to happen. Even with these extended baking sessions, we still don’t have enough bread to last longer than a week or so. With two teen boys and two adults eating, we really could use a more efficient mixer! My youngest enjoys helping me with the flour milling (we grind our own buckwheat flour — yum), so he would especially love to see more bread stashed for later. 🙂
First thing would be homemade bread, second Christmas cookies!
I have had thyroid and gut issues for 16 years. Along with that comes inflammation. It gets hard to hand knead my bread. I’d love this machine to help me keep making bread I can eat. Plus all the other things I can continue to make and bake!!
I would use the mixer to make bread from whole grains I mill myself. The stand mixer I have gets a little too hot struggling to knead the dough.
Baking breads! Baking cookies! Baking baking baking!!
I imagine having a Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would make baking so much more enjoyable! Thank you for this opportunity to win such a fabulous prize!
I would use the mixer for breads, crescent rolls, cookies and bars, using my family favorite recipes and any new recipes I find that look interesting. A new mixer is an opportunity to try new baked goods!
Would love this for my sourdough making!
I really want to start making more bread products. This mixer would be AWESOME!
I will use it make breads of all kinds
Loafs, rolls, you name it I love it!!
Okay…okay…..okay. I’ve been trying to live without a stand mixer. I made challah this week and my arms took a beating. The recipe did say to not try to hand knead. The bread was great and I want to make it again… just not by hand. I’ve had similar but not so dramatic experiences with other recipes. I bake daily (cooking too) and imagine I’d find plenty of uses.
I see some comments about the size of the Bosch and that appeals to me too. I try to not clutter my limited counter and storage space. Of course, I am willing to make room for something useful and regularly used.
Thanks for the chance to win! I was recently gifted some sourdough starter and have been experimenting – I would definitely use it to expand those experiments!
I would use it to make “small” batches of bread for my large family. It would save me the trouble of cleaning the industrial 20 quart mixer when all I’m making is breakfast or dessert and not bread.
I do a lot of cooking and occasional baking. I’m happy with my kitchen skills, but I often see the need for large scale mixing, blending, chopping, etc. I also cook in a soup kitchen, so I’ll have many opportunities to use the Bosch UniversalPlus.
Thanks.
Roger
Hello Laurie,
I look forward to the tips and recipes you offer and appreciate the reminder to try things at a slower pace.
I’d like to be entered in the stand mixer drawing.
Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you,
Teri
I am new to the herbal community and want to learn to make my own breads and this little Bosch Universal Plus mixer looks great. It’s not too big as we are just an older house of two people so we don’t need a big mixer. Thank you Laurie for your newsletters and articles with recipes, they very helpful to us newbies.
I love my Bosch mixer! It is getting old but keeps working. My daughter has the newer model . It is staple appliance in our home. It is always mixing something.
I would make cookies
If I had a Bosch mixer I would definitely be able to make more than one loaf of bread at a time! The mixer I have right now struggled when I tried to make two loaves and so I decided I didn’t want to buy a new mixer so I just went back to making one loaf at a time. I will definitely use it for other baking too!
Happy baking
Michelle S
It would be so nice to have a mixer that will handle the bigger jobs again.
My Bosch mixer has been a workhorse over the many years I have owned it, but I’m thinking it might be at the end of its life. I would love to win a new one. Thanks for the giveaway.
I would be using the Bosch mixer to help make more than one kind of bread or cookies at the same time to help with not having to bake bread every week and with holiday baking of cookies.
I make bread for communion in my church. My mixer cannot handle mixing and kneading
the dough for the number of loaves I am making. Also my mixer is about 20 – 25 years old
and I could use a new one anyway. Also there are other persons in my church that make bread
for communion and might be interested in getting one of these mixers.
I would love to own the Bosch Universal Plus mixer. I do not currently have a large mixer as they do not fit on my countertop. This mixer is more compact and would help me make homemade goodies like cookies, bread and whipped cream!
Most likely replace the bread machine.
For making breads!
I would use my new Bosch Mixer when baking bread and other goodies.
Thank you for the opportunity!
Ohh winning a mixer would be so nice! I’ve been making almost all of our family’s bread for years and I have a small mixer but I would LOVE to be able to make big batches of bread to freeze especially in the warmer months when turning on the oven multiple times a week for bread is not fun. Than you!
Would love to win a Bosch mixer
Ohmygoodness! What a fabulous prize! The Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would immediately he used for baking Christmas brownies and cookies if arriving in time. Bread making would also become a more frequently made item in my home.
Love your blog, your recipes, and your talk of every day life at your lively home. Thank you for this opportunity!
I would love to win the Bosch mixer. Because of all the unhealthy, GMO, and other doubtful ingredients in today’s foods I would love to get back to baking my own bread again. Homemade tastes wonderful and is so much healthier. Making large batches is also a nice advantage. I’ve read wonderful things about Bosch mixers and would love to be able to try it out
It would be used for bread making mostly. I would love to have a Bosch since I grew up with Bosch products.
thats a fantastic product!
I would love to try out this fancy mixer to give my old arms a rest when making a batch of dough.
I don’t have a standup mixer. Mine was gifted to my daughter when she married and have not replaced it. Would love to win this. Would be great for making pies and bread for the holidays.
I filled out the form last week, but as per your instructions, am also leaving a comment! Thanks for the great newsletters each week.
With three growing boys being homeschooled and with us living in a quite rural area, I’m leaning heavily into cooking from scratch and batch cooking, but right now my limit is a double batch. I would use the mixer for multiple batch bread making and all kinds of baking, both sweet and savory.
If I am the lucky draw, I would gift this to my son. He loves to cook, but is just starting out on his own and has very few quality kitchen items.
I gave one of these as a gift to my daughter and she uses it all the time. She was having some small issues with the old one she had. A big bulky thing we all know the name of. Very heavy too. I know you mentioned this one more than once so I got it for my daughter. She loves it. Way less hassle to use it. I don’t have one myself. I think it would be great to use to knead bread dough. I also want to ad that I think you are amazing Laurie. I really like your bread book and I love the weekly news letters.
Thank You!!!
Thank you for this contest! I would use it to bake bread and cookies for my family and community.
I would use to make homemade fresh ground bread for our health and taste.
I would love to win the Bosch mixer!
I love to bake and have used a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for years. It is pretty good but I can see that the Bosch would be so much better. Thanks for offering this contest!
I will use it to make big batches of cookies. Some of the varieties are very heavy! I’ll also try it for my homemade 10-grain sourdough bread!
I would use the mixer to bake bread
Breads definitely and the ability to make light as air sponge cakes again.
Our church has a number of fundraisers and breads are always one of the best sellers; therefore, I would like to begin making breads but don’t have the equipment to do it readily. This would help considerably.
Also, it would be great for home use using ingredients that I know, without chemicals etc.
we would get great use out of it! Baking Christmas cookies for one. Add to that the breads we all love. Having a Bosch Universal!!
I would like to make bread more often. I believe the Bosch stand mixer would definitely make the job easier. I enjoy reading your Common Sense Newsletter!
I recently started making bread for a table at my local farmers market. This would be a great help
first I would like to say I love your emails I feel like I’m right there with you!
second I would like to say my 25-year-old KitchenAid is getting tired of making bread several times a week a Bosch would be really nice!!
thank you for keeping us aware and your ideas are wonderful.
I’ve just started making bread after a l-o-n-g break. Im remembering how I really love the kneading process & the smells -from yeasties growing to the finished loaf. (& making cookies for my 13 grandchildren! Love your emails.
I would use it for breads and cookies!
Would love the Bosch mixer to make multiple loaves of bread.
love your newsletter. Thank you!
I am aiming to make all of my family’s bread including buns, tortillas, etc. I have seen several recipes that incorporate the Bosch mixer and I would love to win one to incorporate into my homemaking. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
We have a new grandbaby on the way. I would use the mixer to bake up healthy sweets for my expectant daughter. Thank you for providing such interesting & useful content.
I would use the Bosch mixer to replace my hand held one. I love to bake yet the hand held has a downside when need to add,mox 1 egg at a time. Also for bread. I have adopted grandbabies and go through alot of bread. Would love to make homemade more often because I know what ingredients go into it. I have never had an expensive mixer due to the price. At 62 yrs old always had hand helds.
I would use the mixer daily, to make wholesome foods for my family.
Being that folks lost snap benefits and food prices are so high I’d love the ease this could provide for our large batch baking donations . I work with families who have members living with developmental disabilities. I could whip out batches of food more quickly to give away. I love the description from the website. and who knew? ** one egg**!? don’t forget to scroll to the end, I love a good whipped cream with a dash of my homemade vanilla bean vanilla: )
Built to Handle Every Task in Your Kitchen
Heavy-Duty Dough Hook
Engineered to mimic the motion of hand kneading, the dough hook stretches, folds, and tucks for superior gluten development. Knead from a single loaf (3 cups flour) up to 14 one-pound loaves of white or whole grain bread. The included dough hook extender ensures even small batches are perfectly mixed.
Triple Whip Action
Dual wire whips rotate independently while spinning around the bowl, creating a powerful triple-whipping action that builds volume fast. This tool is perfect for delicate whipping tasks like meringues and whipped cream, even with just one egg white.
I would love to have the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer in my kitchen. I would use the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer to make bread for our family. Because it can handle large batches of dough, I could make all our bread for the week & we could stop buying store bought bread. It would be great to make our own bread! Thank you for offering us a chance to win the Bosch mixer. It’s exciting. I hope I win it.
l would love to win the Bosch Universal Mixer ,to make my days of making my breads, rolls, and cookie and pasta doughs with ease.As l had an accident, not my fault, just at the wrong place and time and being kind to someone l didn’t know personally, just a stranger at the event. Both my arms and wrists and hands were severed off from each other and crushed and on one hand the bone pierced through the top of my hand. After hours of just trying to keep me stable and taken from one hospital to another city and hospital than to surgery with two Drs.and two teams of nurses etc.one for each arm, wrist, and hand. Then before l got into surgery they didn’t think l was going to make it so they broke protocol and all agreed and let a nurse go get her cell phone and called my only daughter so l could say my good byes and were l had the lockbox to my will and health wishes.Nurse had to hold the phone the whole time to my ear so l could talk. She cried, and said that was the saddest thing she had ever witnessed. The Drs.only gave me two minutes to get everything said and that l loved her so very much. Then it was lights out for me and a bit over 6-7 hours of surgeries later ,l was sliding off a slide board into a bed and two police officers were going by and helped the crew of people to lift me over in the bed cause,of all the IVs tubing and machines in their way. They told me they put me in a coma for a day or so and than reversed it some how and took me back out of the coma.Had to do with the pain of it all.l remember them asking me what day and if l knew where l was.l replied the right answers except l was off on the date cause of being in surgery an all so l just gave date it happened. Then l was In hospital for quite awhile than home to an apt.were it’s disabled and elderly. They got nurses, and therapists to come in to help me.They had to absolutely do everything,as l didn’t have no arms or hands showing they were all wrapped up and on boards like and special casting stuff under it. l didn’t get my full use back till 2 years later and only because,l fought with everything I had left in me to get feeling in them again and use of them.l did a lot of crying but always kept a good attitude and laughed a lot. They even asked me how l could laugh on stuff when being in the therapy sessions on my arms and wrists and hands.l just told them about my faith in God.That l knew it would be what he wanted it to be for me. l now have the use of them but it was touch and go to being amputated off from the shoulder.l still drop things and have a hard time doing my bread, cookie, pasta, and rolls dough.l don’t have much strength in them long and they are painful. As l’m now filled with a long bar in my arms that looks like a long handled spoon to a bar brace in my wrists to each rods and screws all the way in each finger that looks like Christmas trees in my complete hands under my skin.My Drs.said l have some fancy hardware in those hands and arms and we laughed. I’m So, Sorry this is So long of an Explanation Why l Truly Would Cherish Winning the Bosch Universal Mixer.I just wanted you to know how l’d really feel and the need of it being a true blessing to have been won and given to to make all my doughs so much easier.
We are lovers of all things bread and pizza is a constant with our family gatherings. A Bosch mixer would really be a delight to add to our baking.
I would love to win the Bosch mixer. I’ve been using my old kitchen aide & it struggles to mix just two loaves of sour dough bread. I enjoy your bread book & I always read your news letter with your helpful tips. Thank you for all you do.
I bought your bread book over a year ago and have loved it! And now I see you’re having a contest for a Bosch. I would love to try one out! I would use it for everyday breads, and also for experimenting with special breads as gifts or for holidays. I’m always the one my friends come to for bread related recipes 😉
Thank you ~ I appreciate how you share your knowledge and experience with us. I may have been homesteading for decades, but I’m always learning something new.
I would use it to make more homemade items, rather than buy them at the store!
My adult daughter and family just moved to their new home, leaving me time to truly be a wife again! I plan to put this mixer to good use, cooking from “scratch “ now that I am not tending grandkids 24-7!
I would love to have the mixer but I’m sure there are plenty of people who need it a lot more than I do. I would like to know how others use freeze dried apples to make apple pie? I freeze dried apples bunch of them and we do love to just eat them as snacks but I would love to be able to use them to make pie or cobbler with.
Being of the same generation as you, I’ve enjoyed keeping up with your lives on a grander scale than in my small corner of the world. I can only dream. With a micro homesteadish lifestyle, useful gold nuggets of wisdom from you is always appreciated and utilized! As for the drawing for the mixer, I often entertain large groups of folks with my jimmy rigged Pinterest inspired outdoor brick ovens (two to keep up!) making wood fired pizza. That’s a lot of dough to mix up by hand. An electric mixer sure sounds like a welcomed relief to my poor forearms and back! Don’t get me wrong, I love exercise! But I also love having energy left over for mingling with company while cooking the pizzas in the double oven.
Since I don’t have any type of stand mixer, winning the Bosch mixer would allow me to make many of the entree snd side dish recipes that I’ve saved. I am expanding my grain-free baked food options and some of those recipes also call for using a stand mixer. Thanks much!
I do a lot of baking and would love to try the Bosch mixer. Thank you!
I would use this mixer to mix all kinds of goodies that I love to make. My fingers are getting more and more weak and painful as arthritis slowly gets more aggressive. Opening anything is so hard to do. Both my mom and dad had the same issues; doc says it’s inherited and there’s no fixing them. Just peachy!
I’ve never used a Bosch mixer before, but have been so intrigued by it!! i saw it on a YouTube channel I used to watch and never knew what it was! I think making ANYTHING with it would be the bomb. thanks!!
I would love to win the Bosch mixer. I have celiac disease and have yet to find a store bought gluten free bread that I like. With the mixer I would be able to make my own bread using gluten free ingredients. Thank you for your site and emails. I too have a percolator, actually 2. Love them. The one is for when we’re camping and of course, the other for home use. Thank you
What a special gift to share with my Daughter in laws, both are bread bakers, who have encouraged me on my journey of Sour dough baking. Love your blog.
I would try so many new things, but to start, I would definitely make fresh bread! Lots of it!
I would use this mixer for making bread and muffins for my granddaughter.
I would love to mix doughs, and try all the functions that I see on the machine! It looks very different from the Kitchen Aid mixer and even though I love my mixer, the Bosch has more options!
I would use the Bosch mixer for sourdough bread that I aim to learn how to make. Thank you for all of your newsletters and tips, and also for this chance.
I’ve been looking into buying a grain mill and this mixer would be the perfect accompaniment to making fresh bread. I hope I win! Thank you!
We would love using the Bosch, especially since all that we make: breads, pasta, deserts, etc. we do so by hand.
I don’t cook much, but I love to bake. I remember the smell in Mom’s kitchen when I was a youngster and the chocolate cookies were to “die for” – so moist and melt in your mouth delicious. I also make a pretty mean “fresh apple cake” and recently found some of my mom’s old recipes and would love to resurrect some and have my children and grand children enjoy something from the past.
I would love the Bosch universal mixer to make more bread. I’m finally looking back and trying to lead a simpler, more meaningful life of caring for my family as my mom did. My family loves when I make homemade bread and I’m venturing into pasta making. This would be a fantastic help.
Use this mixer to make gluten free bread and other baking dishes. I’m new to bread making and to receive this great Bosch product, would be an honor.
As we all feel the crunch of increased prices on everything, this would help someone on their baking adventures!
This is so exciting to think about.
love to win to make some homemade bread.
Right now, I get by with the KitchenAid stand mixer I inherited from my grandma. It’s been reliable so far, being a slightly older unit that was built to last, but I know that it’s still probably got limited life at this point. With the cost of a new mixer being out of the budget, and with our family (and our baking needs!) growing, having a new high-quality mixer would be a real blessing. I would use it for everything from sourdough bread, to pizza dough, to bagels, to English muffins, to cookies. Basically everything we bake!
With prices high and some ingredients suspect, making food from scratch is the way to go. Using a Bosch mixer would be a big help in accomplishing this with ease.
So many things, from bread to cookies to whatever, would be easier with a powerful mixer.
A stand mixer like this would be so beneficial to me. I have a shoulder injury and it makes mixing ingredients really difficult. I’ve always loved baking and wish to bake more healthy foods to avoid store boughten items.
I would love to give this mixer a whirl in my kitchen! I love to bake and cook so I’m sure it would be an awesome product to have at hand.
Thank You for sharing so much! I would love to have a mixer to do the work that pains my body. 🙂
With a good mixer I would hope to be able to make bread better and would look forward to experimenting with it to make bread products. It would help with cakes/bars/pie crust/cookies and anything else. It has been a long time since I have had a new mixer.
I would like to enter the contest for the Bosch Universal Stand Mixer. As you described, making more than one loaf of bread is a pain – my stand mixer just doesn’t hold that much, and mixing dough by hand is something I gave up years ago. When I bake for family get togethers, I normally bring 4-6 extra long loaves!
Also, totally unrelated, but I want you to know that even though I get tons of emails – many of which I delete, I always read yours. I’ve never been a homesteader, but was taught to can foods, make jam and a few years ago started making lotion bars, salves and tinctures.
I would use my new mixer if I win with just about everything I can think of!!! It would be so exciting to have such a great product in my kitchen. I love to bake and I do a lot of home cooking so I know this mixer would work great for me!
I am interested in the multiple jobs that this little powerhouse can accomplish.
If I should win this wonderful mixer, I would gladly make bread and treats for the homeless and their children.
I would get back into making sour dough bread for my family!
I would love to make sourdough bread and other bread products but don’t have the strength and ability to do the kneading required. I have watched a woman with a YouTube channel use this mixer and it looks like it works wonderfully.
I would love this fory family with three teenagers! My boys love homemade anything and this would help as they learn how to prepare those treats and breads.
I would love to use this machine for cookie and bread doughs. Just to have to play and experiment would be fun. I currently use a kitchen aide mixer that I have had for years.
If I had the White Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer I would be so happy as all I have is a hand mixer. I would be whipping up breads mostly, but also cookies and other holiday treats.
Thank you or offering this giveaway.
I will use this to make my Favorite German Breads and Rolls from my childhood.
Just in time for cookies!!
I have wheat berries that I want to grind (with my Nutrimill grinder)but don’t have a good way to mix my dough. To win the Bosch mixer would be so wonderful. I so badly want to make bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies etc. I cook for my parents as well so would use it a lot! Thank you!
I would love to have a Bosch Universal Plus Mixer.
This would finally get me to making my own bread. My love of cooking and baking is still here, but being in my 70’s and with just my husband we don’t eat as much as we used to. I also find I would rather spend my time outside with flowers, fruits and the vegetable garden than inside the house. The time needed to make bread and the work of kneeding it just doesn’t fit into my day. A mixer that would do the work for me would allow me to finally add fresh home made bread to my fresh fruits and veggies and local grown beef and pork. Oh happy day!
I have the Nutrimill grinder for grains and make homemade bread for my family. The next item I would get is the mixer. The German Bosch engineering is the quality I want in this appliance. It is the one that compliments the grain mill and makes sense not to settle for less.
I have wanted one of these for years but cannot afford it. I don’t bake that often but would love to start making more breads. I have made a few of the French breads and other types of quick breads but not many of the yeast breads.
Oh I can’t imagine the possibilities !! Bread and more bread for me !
I make my own bread but have been really eyeing all the cool new tools available for bread baking that I see on blogs. With a mixer like that I could bake bread for my daughter and her six kids.
What a dream mixer!! I have been making bread (sourdough specifically) by hand…kneading the dough is an arm workout and time consuming for sure. This would be such a time & energy saver. I would primarily use the Bosch Mixer to make large batches of sourdough bread for my family of 11, instead of making it daily. I’d also use it to make butter, whipped cream, and just about anything else from scratch I could.
A Bosch mixer has been on my dream list for a while. Would use as a timesaver to make bigger batches of everything I can!
My goal is to start making bread for both my family and my parents. This mixer would really help make multiple loaves to feed us all.
I would gift it to my son! He has been wanting a stand mixer for a long time now, and I already have one. He enjoys baking and he has ventured into baking gluten free items after his girlfriend had to make the switch.
Now that I am retired, I have committed to more scratch baking. Bread, our home made pizza, cookies and baked goods for the holidays. I have wanted one for a few years, after seeing several homesteaders and you tubers use them. Thank you for the opportunity to possibly win. Love reading your emails.
This is a workhorse appliance. We’d be using it for our bread baking, venison sausage making and of course Christmas cookies.
This is a workhorse appliance. We’d be using it for our bread baking, venison sausage making and of course Christmas cookies.
Old age and arthritic fingers make so many things difficult that I would likely use it to do the usual bread making and bakery goods but also those things I used to do by hand, like cutting the flour into the pie dough. Machines will have to do the work that used to be so easy.
This would be great for making breads and cookies for my family. Have issues with my hands so stirring is hard.
Make a lot more bread, been wanting to try my hand at sourdough!
I have a family of 8 (4 of them teen boys) and have been wanting a Bosch mixer for years but have never had the opportunity to get one. It is tiresome to make three separate batches or having to let my mixer cool or make some in the stand mixer and some by hand so that I have enough for everyone. I try to make most things from scratch so this would also really help with time. This was a great idea! Good luck everyone!!
I would love a heavy duty mixer for sour dough making and lots and lots of batches of cookies. Maybe I would even try mixing home made sausage recipes with it!
I would love to be able to make bread in my own home.
Hello, I started making bread a couple years ago to get away from the chemicals in store bought bread after having a loaf of store bread have no mold on it after 3 months! I have Laurie’s bread book and I bought one for my sister. I have arthritis in my hands as a senior and sometimes kneading gets a bit difficult but I love making bread so I just deal with that. This mixer sure would be helpful.
Thanks.
If I won this cast iron machine ( Bosch is the cats meow) I would probably give it to my daughter. She has 6 children under nine and makes all their bread from scratch. This is a great product and a great give away. May some deserving person win it who ever it maybe. God bless.
I truly enjoy making breads and baking goodies for family and friends. I would enjoy having a workhorse of a mixer for those tasks. I have had friends that owned them and they say they are truly a ‘must have’ kitchen appliance when you do a lot of baking. As we get older, we still think we can do the same quantity of baking as we did in our younger years, but we soon discover that we need a bit more help from our “‘electric friends” !
This would be great in the kitchen. I would use it to make all kinda of cookie dough, bread and cinnamon buns!
I don’t have a stand mixer anymore and I miss it. It’s hard to buy a new one because they’re either really expensive or cheap knock offs that won’t last.
Biscotti!
Making homemade bread. I don’t have a stand up mixer but it would be great to have one that does multiple things.
i do so much baking and cooking during the holiday season this would be a huge blessing and help.. i’ve worn out so many mixers and even broke the beaters on one…no idea how that happened, was mixing a cheesecake but its would be VERY helpful for the dozens of yeast rolls and the pumpkin rolls, and cheesecakes and other things i make throughout the holidays both for my family dinners but also for the ones i do to sell….
I haven’t bought a loaf of bread in 37 years…though lately in my 70’s, kneading by hand is…a bit…weary-ing. I’ve never wanted to buy a bread maker, because in kneading, that’s when i put my love into each loaf.
But…this sounded like fun to enter…i’ve never had a mixer….maybe it’s time…?!!
sounds like a great tool for the kitchen.
My elderly (like me) Kitchen Aid stand mixer requires help to move her to the counter so I can use her to make bread and rolls. In fact, her name is Big Bertha, LOL! I would love a Bosch but BB just keeps plugging along.
Now…if I won one, that would be my excuse for donating BB, just don’t let her see this comment, she’s been so faithful 🙂
Thanks for offering this wonderful gift…the winner will be thrilled!!
Hi Laurie,
Your message above for the mixer contest says you’re going “old school.” What does that mean exactly? I thought I was entered but I remembered I didn’t write what I would use the mixer for. How do I re-enter properly?
Thank you,
Lisa Anglin
Sutherlin, Oregon
Hello, Looking at baking with a reliable mixer. Bread making has become daunting for me since arthritis in my hands. Still love “homemade” bread! What a happy day it would be to find out that I won.
Thank you ever so much!
starting to make my own bread, would be nice to have a mixer to help.
Hi,
I make monstrous batches of gluten free Monster cookies every month (along with various other baked goods) This Universal Mixer would easily mix the 9cups of oatmeal, 2.5 cups peanut butter, 6 eggs etc easily and it wouldn’t be shooting out of the bowl! Thanks for having the contest!
Butter! Mashed potatoes! Bread (sourdough, someday)!
How I would love a Bosch mixer:
1) save $ and trips to store;
2) control the ingredients in my bread;
3) save the pain on arthritic joints for something else;
4) bulk freeze pizza dough;
5) feed my family, church, and community;
6) downsize # of appliances, thus gaining more countertop space;
7) probably something else that will pop into my brain later. 😉
We will use the mixer to start making bread again. Our old bread maker failed and we are looking forward to getting a new one. Thanks.
I would love to use a mixer for all of the Christmas cookies I plan to make! Also I have your bread book and would love to get back into the habit of bread-making.
I would love the opportunity to win this. I bake, cook and preserve a lot!! It would be so helpful making bread which I do at least 2 – 3 times a week.
I recently purchased your book but I have yet to attempt a recipe! My daughter and I both have an interest in baking bread from scratch and having a quality mixer would make the effort seem less daunting! Baking homemade bread for our families would be something fun and meaningful that we could do together.
Wow, what an amazing opportunity! 2026 is what I’m calling “My Year of Bread” as it’s the next homesteading skill I want to master. I have a 2 year old and a baby on the way (due in December!) and want to give them all the health benefits of everything made from scratch, including grinding my own flour to make bread! The Nutrimill would help me make bread and so many other things. Excited for whoever ends up winning this fantastic gift!
I do quite a bit of banking, preserving and well as cooking healthy dinners. This would be a dream come true!!! I do make bread every few days also, this would be SO helpful!! Thank you for the chance to win!
Baking, much to my family’s delight, is my passion. This workhorse of a machine would get a full workout at our house!
Cheesecake, for starters! My grandma’s date nut loaf also and of course, all of my holiday baked goods ….. Yes, I’ve hidden the scale!
Thank You for the opportunity to win!
I’d use it to create all kinds of dough, butters, and more. The creation possibilities are endless and I do love to play with foods. I’d play with my new Nutrimill mixer and every one of its attachments.
Thanks again!
I would love to win this – I appreciate the opportunity that you and Nutrimill are providing. I’ve wanted one for years, but it’s never been something we could afford.
Thank you for the opportunity!
I used to bake from scratch years ago, and am getting back into it for health and budget reasons.
The Bosch Universal Plus would be an amazing addition to my kitchen for making bread and so much more!
I would have a quite a few uses for this mixer. I have heard it’s one of the better ones for bread making. I also enjoy making cakes. My teenage is also getting into cookie making, so I’m sure she would also get a bit of use from it.
Oh, what fun that mixer would be! I’m semi-retired and have no family to speak of, but I love making treats for my co-workers and neighbors.
Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to win such a great machine.
I have seen many of the people I follow on Rumble and YouTube raving about this handy dandy machine, while showing it a work in their videos, looks awesome.
I am originally from the Netherlands, you guessed it .. a bread and cheese girl … gonna try my favorite Tiger bread with a crispy crust … YUM .. with a splash of butter.
I remember all of the wonderful aromas at my grandmother’s house at Christmas and Easter, with freshly made pierogies, cookies, pies, and breads. I had her mixer for years after she passed, but now that’s gone, too. I’d really love to have another mixer so that I could recapture some of those memories using the recipes she left behind.
I entered at the start with the automated entry form. This is a just in case as you said it wasn’t recording the entries.
I blew up my kitchen aid making bread after a couple years . I have been making all our bread products for a while now by hand. I’ve been looking at this exact mixer but The price point is out of reach for us. This would be a huge blessing.
I would make so much sourdough bread and bagels for the kids,!
I have renewed my interest in baking homemade breads and cakes, sharing them with neighbors and loved ones. It would be wonderful to try the Bosch Universal exploring new and older recipes alike.
Your never to old to provide healthier options for family and friends and this would certainly make the experience fun and new.
I would use mixer to make my weekly sourdough bread.
I would love to try this mixer. I’ve renewed my interest in baking homemade breads and cakes. Continuing to share them with neighbors and loved ones. Your never too old to learn and perfect healthier food choices.
The Bosch Universal would be an exciting way to continue this journey of baking.
Do Bosch appliances last as long as their car parts? Because my German made car is a 1987. 😝 If so, I’m in.
This mixer would absolutely up my bread game. I appreciate the ability to make large recipes without flour going everywhere! And by having such a sleek design it would definitely fit out front and center on my counter. This baby is a bread baker’s dream!
I would love to use it to mash potatoes but mostly to make bread. I own the Never buy bread again cookbook and would certainly use the mixer a lot!
I want to make my own breads so that I know what ingredients are, and more importantly are NOT, in the products that I am making for myself and my family.
I like to do multiple batches of anything – one and done, instead of over and over.
This big mixer would make triple batches of cookie dough (when my mixer won’t quite do a
double batch). Blending up cooked squash for the freezer all at once, or large batches of
mashed potatoes! It sounds like a big time saver – and an energy saver 😉
Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
My goal of learning to make sourdough bread this winter would be made so much easier! And…my Cuisinart food processor that I received shortly after my marriage (44 years in August) finally pooped out. Thanks for the chance Laurie!
I’m 80% disabled and this would make my life so much easier please
I would like to win this for my daughter. I am elderly and live with her, son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren. She does a lot of “from scratch” cooking to keep us all healthier and the Bosch mixer would be such a help to her.
I would use this to feed the cookie monster I live with and I have never had a stand mixer at all. I could really use one.
I am highly gluten intolerant and cannot eat store bought bread goods. After much research, I found if we buy organic whole wheat berries and grind them ourselves, I can use that wheat for sour dough and make my own baked goods, then I don’t get the reaction to the gluten. it has something to do with how most commercial flour is stripped and processed. This stand mixer would make preparing my dough so much easier. Since it has so many optional attachments, I could even use it to mill the wheat berries. There’s even an ice cream maker attachment! This beauty wouldn’t get any rest in my kitchen.
I just watched a video where two batches of bread went into the mixer and I was like wow – need that! Ha ha. Thanks for fixing the link Laurie! Love your content.
I would use it to make cookies for holidays, bread ( I love my rye bread) and I think it would be awesome to make sausage!
I have recently got my feet wet into baking and am currently looking for a good mixer, so – very timely. And – Bosch is a good brand.
I have a family member that has a Bosch Universal mixer and it makes me a little jealous every time I see it in use knowing that I do not have one. It is an awesome machine that would come in very useful when I make bread and in baking.
I need a strong mixer and this one sounds right!
I would use the mixer as a partner in making bulk batches of healthy dog treats. A fundraiser for my local animal shelter . Also for making baked goods for my women’s club fundraisers.
I’d love it for Christmas bread baking. My recipe makes 4 loaves and I don’t have a mixer big enough to help with the kneading.
This is an amazing giveaway!
OMG! What a fantastic prize! I just started some sourdough starter a couple of days ago. I could use the mixer for all sorts of things! I have been saving dozens of recipes to try! Thank you, Laurie!!!
I would probably do one of two things – learn how to bake gluten free bread or sourdough bread at home or give it to my teacher daughter that enjoys baking bread. It’s a lot nicer than the “bread machine” I gave her and will likely last a LOT longer.
I love baking in very large batches to share with others and my current mixer struggles to handle that without overheating. This mixer is one I’ve heard about for a while and would be a tremendous blessing to add to my busy kitchen arsenal!
I have heard so many posts declaring how wonderful this mixer is. I would love to use it for making bread and holiday baking. My nephew and I make gingerbread cookies for Christmas and it would be lovely to share this with him.
Donna and I are looking to make this Winter a season of baking and the mixer would be a great step forward in our overall quest to become more self sufficient and healthier.
Why I want the mixer—
Retiring at the end of this year. I had gotten a few mixers as wedding gifts — fourty-three years ago- and they have each in turn died. So has the little stand mixer my brother gave me for Christmas decades ago. So I find myself in need of a mixer and with reduced income. My grandkids love my cookies and cakes. I’d love to be able to continue making them.
I want to have a homemade healthy holiday. A new strong efficient mixer will certainly help with bread and cookie dough preparation. And prepare larger batches of our favorite recipes and some from Commonsensehome.com.
I have celiac disease and eat a mostly plant-based diet, so baking has become both a necessity and a comfort for me. My mixers always seem to burn out under the weight of gluten-free doughs, and I’ve been dreaming of something strong enough to keep up with the way I cook for my family. I would use a Universal Plus Mixer to make the specialty breads I can’t buy in stores, to bring back homemade pizza nights, and to finally try the cauliflower dough I’ve been wanting to master.
I just started making my own bread. My youngest son has bm issues and we’ve been making slow changes to a healthier way of eating to try to help. My current mixer is too small for even a single loaf recipe so I have to do it by hand and finding the time is not easy. This would help save time while keeping on track to try to help my son.
Won’t have to buy bakery goods . I could try out making other recipes and an electric mixer would be extremely nice
Hi Common sense Home,
I would love to win this Bosch stand mixer for gluten free breads, which are so temperamental to work with.
Thank you. Rhonda Lutz
I would use the mixer for making baked goods, whipping cream and making bread. T
I would be making bread!
I would like to learn sourdough as well as bake another more
Cooking is not a passion of mine, but I do love holiday baking, since there’s something different about making food to share with others. I used to do a lot of it, but sometimes life gets in the way, and it fell by the wayside. I was just thinking I’d like to get back in the baking groove, and this mixer would be a great incentive.
Greetings
I live with my daughter and her husband and there 3 boys and she is pregnant with a girl. Two of the boys are celiac. I’m still working and don’t have that much time to bake but i usually try to make some gluten free treats for the boys. It also comes in handy to make salves. I love to cook and back even that my time is limited. I would like to win it like the next person but it definitely looks like there are people here who needed more than i do
Would definitely use it to make bread!!
Having this amazing machine in my kitchen- would help me provide more healthy breads, meals and desserts to my many elderly neighbors who need good food, and company to counter the isolation and depression that often plagues our wisdom class. (That’s what I like to call them- they are living libraries of wisdom) Living in a deeply rural area, neighbors matter and its wonderful to become a part of their lived stories. Living in a peristent poverty county, every little thing we can do for another matters!
ooh, it would be great for Thanksgiving rolls. my mixer isn’t quite big enough.
I’ve been baking our own gluten free bread taking and refining a recipe that actually tastes good not gritty or dry! I need a strong mixer and this one sounds right!
I have Laurie’s Never Buy Bread Again book and this mixer sure would help in creating all of the recipes in her book.. My husband would be sooo happy for his daily fresh bread on the table !!
Oh how I would put to use a Bosch mixture! I inherited an old wooden grain mill from my mother about 20 years ago. Have no idea how old it is …maybe 40 or more years old. I have been using it but have thought for years how nice a new one would be. I am now teaching my teenage grandkids how to make bread and rolls.
I love using all kinds of grains in my bread making and love to experiment with them. A new grain mill would be so welcome and used a ton in this household.
Oh, I would be making lots of sourdough bread with it!
I would be making bread weekly and save on my family’s budget. It would be wonderful to win. Good luck to everyone!
I will use the mixer for traditional baking and cooking.
I would make more bread and rolls!
This appliance does everything! It will be an everyday tool from baking bread to making our own venison sausage. And of course it will serve during Christmas cookie season.
I bake all my own bread now. My current mixer just doesn’t handle kneading bread well. I love my ciabattas, sandwich bread and blueberry loaf.
I could use a powerhouse Bosch mixer for mixing masa for tamales! What a timesaver that would be!
Hi Common Sense Home! I would use the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer to knead all my weekly bread, buns and rolls. I currently do it all by hand. I could use it for pizza dough, pie dough and holiday cookies. The possibilities are endless! Ty for the opportunity.
I would be making bread weekly! This would be wonderful to win. Good luck to everyone!
I would love to have a Bosch mixer for making breads and cookies for friends and family. We invite people over for Thanksgiving who do not have families to gather with, and that would help a lot!
I would use it as an alternative to my bread machine for making bread for my family! We have 3 under 3 and are currently expecting our 4th, so needless to say baked goods go fast around here!
I would use this weekly if I won. I moved to Florida from California over 3 years ago and I still cannot afford a house and all my stuff, mixers, hand mills, etc., are buried in a lifetime of stuff in storage. This would be wonderful for my spirit!
This is a perfect gift for me since I’ve been an avid baker since I had my first easy bake oven back in the early 70s. That start it all and I’ve been baking ever since.
A Bosch mixer would be the best thing ever for mixing and kneading breads. I would love to own one!
The Bosch mixer would make our leadership team of high students very happy and would be a big part of their teaching kitchen at Green-Allies.org.
Our students will be teaching underserved families how to prepare and cook healthy foods while staying within a budget!
Sweet potato rolls and big batches of chocolate chip cookies.
I would retire my old bread machine and use the Bosch to make bread dough and bake fresh bread!
Several reasons to love a Bosch mixer:
1) Arthritic hands & wrists;
2) Get back to making several bread types;
3) Bulk make/freeze pizza dough;
4) Save gas and grocery $;
5) Smaller footprint on countertop;
6) Fill hungry tummies at home, church, and community;
7) Probably more…😊
I would love this for making bread.
I would give the Bosch to my mom who is very excited about making her bread with freshly milled flour. She has a number of friends who have told her wonderful things about the Bosch and she would be thrilled to have one of her own. I enjoy making mine by hand but as she is getting older I feel this could be a help to her.
I would retire my old bread machine and use the Bosch to make bread dough and bake fresh bread!
I would use this mixer to knead dough as my hands are no longer strong enough to knead manually. Thank you for all of the wonderful information you share. I look forward to reading your email newsletter every Sunday.
I’d make sourdough breads and bread loaves using the fresh herbs and veggies from my gardens.
I need a work horse of a mixer like this so I can use fresh milled flour to bake healthier breads and other baked goods.
Wow, thanks so much for the giveaway!! I would definitely be making lots of things if I won this. Probably start with a big batch of cookies though.
I have been wanting to try this mixer for my rolls and breads – I use my kitchen aid mixer now and have heard the Bosch mixer is the best!
I’d use the mixer to create yummy mashed potatoes from our garden!
I love to make bread, but my current mixer can’t handle the load.
would love to have a mixer like this, it would make all my baking alot easier on me and my arms.
I had never heard of the Bosch universal mixer so I checked it out .. if I were lucky enough to win it ..I would make sourdough bread and hot rolls .. and any recipes that come with it!.. Thank you !
This mixer would be a wonderful addition to my kitchen and help with all my bread making. I’m finding it harder and harder to mix by hand in my old age .. I would love to keep baking for my grandchildren and someday pass it on to them ❤️
I would use the mixer to make artisan breads, and cookies. Yum!
: )
I would LOVE a mixer, especially since making a big batch of bread by hand takes a long time. Also my Aunt has one of these and she makes divinity which requires a long mixing time. It would definitely get used on a weekly basis.
Just this year I have started milling my flour. My KitchenAid mixer is not working correctly. I have seen this type of mixer and am interested in seeing how it works. I will make breads and cakes and cookies, especially with the holidays coming up!
My wife makes bunches of sourdough bread and we give it to our neighbors and church family. I know she’s appreciate this addition to her toolset.
Having the Bosch mixer will help me bring nourishing food to my family. From making sourdough bread to special sweet treats on holidays and birthdays. This would be a blessing to my family.
We just started to mill our own flour and I would use it to knead my dough, and probably tons of other things too! 🙂
Really, really want to try this. We make a LOT of sourdough, this would be a huge help.
I use to enjoy baking, but as I have aged, I can no longer endure the acts of mixing and kneading. With a mixer like this I can see myself making breads and cakes as I use to.
No more kneading pizza dough for ten minutes by hand!
We just started to mill our own flour and I would use this mixer to knead my dough, and for many other things too, I am sure! 🙂
Making all the things! I make sourdough but never in a stand mixer. This would be my chance!
Oh my goodness! I’d be sooo happy if I win because I truly love my Never Buy Bread Again Cook Book 📕 and would love to make it easier for me to make bread 🍞 🥖 with this machine. As I get older I find it getting more difficult for me to do what I love most!
I would use it to make all my bread products, because needing dough by hand is not fun.
I’ve been making sourdough bread quite often since reading that if you’re going to eat bread this is the one to eat for health reasons. A mixer like this would be so much help!
This mixer would be a wonderful aid for my holiday baking and throughout the year for breads, cakes, and cookies.
I would make many many more of the breads in your book Never Buy Bread Again. 😊
I love making different types of sourdough and make it often, I’ve read that if your going to eat bread sourdough is the one you should eat. This type of mixer would really help out a lot!
I would use it to make all my breads. And DIY mixes, etc.
can not wait to use the mixer if I win it. planning on making a lot of goodies with it.
First, I would use this beautiful mixer for making bread. The mixer I have been using for over 40 years seems to be showing signs of aging, as am I. It would make my life so much easier. I would also love to see what other ways it can be used. I would love to win this!
Thank you for all your helpful tips!
I would love to win and have such a powerful mixer for breads, large batch cookies, and everyday use. What a dream to have such an amazing mixer!
I would use Bosch Universal plus for breads And rolls, cakes, cookies, and ice cream bases. Thank you for the ideas, and your long lasting quality products.
The perfect item to make bread….and so much more! Bosch is a highly-rated brand. I would love to have one of these!
I will use it for bread, large batch cookies and so much more. I love the compact design and the power!
Oh, my goodness! I bought a Bosch mixer over 40 years ago, and have used it weekly since then. It finally decided it had served me, my children as they grew up, and my grandchildren as they’ve grown up well enough, and we had to put ‘her’ to rest! I couldn’t begin to tell you how many batches of bread, cookies, pie dough (the list goes on) and other yummy goodies we’ve enjoyed through the years, all with the help of this incredible and long-lasting appliance. I miss the convenience and ease of its’ use, and would dearly LOVE to have another one to help me feed our family and friends for another 40 years! If you get the opportunity to buy one – do it – you’ll never regret it!
I’ve had my current mixer since I married in the sixties. Six decades later, it’s heavy to move and cranky at best. I’d love a new start for healthy breads with einkorn flour.
What a wonderful tool to use to make all the breads, especially from your book! Thank you for the opportunity!
I have recently retired and gone back to baking my own bread, I’ve started getting into sourdough baking now that I have the time. With arthritis in my hands and shoulders mixing the dough and kneading it by hand has become difficult, so I have not been able to make as much as I would like to. This mixer would be of great help with making bread as well as so many other dishes.
I do a lot of baking and this Universal Plus Mixer would be a great help. My family prefers homemade to eating out or buying ready-made foods from the store. Cooking is my therapy!
Thanks!
I have just recently started the master craft of sourdough bread. It has taken me 6 times to get the starter going and 2 times to make a great loaf of bread. I was so excited about it turning out that I had tears of joy in my eyes! I had even saved the dicard and made chocolate chip cookies. I have only a hand mixer that is antique lol. My wooden spoons and spatulas are a godsend….also my 10 flanges are wonderful tools as well in the kitchen 😀. Thank you for the entry….
I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I realized I would have to make some huge changes in my diet. A machine like this would be a godsend as I develop new preparation techniques for healthy meals.
Hello. That is an amazing mixer! If I had one (if I win one) I would never buy bread again. I want to master sourdough finally. I have recipes I’ve never tried yet for rolls, loafs, crackers, and many kinds of cookies. I have friends who want to learn too, and I’ll teach them! Thank you for this chance.
I would be making 6 loaves of bread at a time.
Home made bread!
Oh this mixer would really tackle a lot. I am just learning how to make homemade bread and rolls so this mixer would come in VERY HANDY!! Thank you for the opportunity to enter and fingers crossed 🤞, possibly win.
When my children were growing up, I hand mixed, kneaded and baked 4 to 5 loaves of bread every Saturday because healthy bread is both body and soul satisfying. Hot Cross buns at Easter and Panettone at Christmas added to our enjoyment. Pies at Thanksgiving and always cookies. My sons are now on their own, and I’m working too long hours and am too tired to be baking just for me. A Bosch mixer would be a wonderful way to bring the past into the future, especially since my first grandbaby will be born next March. Freshly-baked bread and more will fill us again!
I have begun grinding my own flour for all our flour needs and it is hard but rewarding. We have a manual grinder. I want to add baking bread and this would make it easier after ask that grinding. 🙂
provide wholesome food for family and friends, thank you
I bake for people from my church especially when they are sick or hurting.
This mixer would sure help.
will make baking Christmas gifts easier and faster.
Win a Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer!
I would use the mixer for making healthy smoothies to homemade breads and everything in between❣️
My wheels are spinning just thinking about all the things that this mixer could do. Bread dough, cookie dough, cake mixing and potatoes. So much fun!
I would love to win!!! I want to start making homemade bread on a regular basis that is healthier than I eat now. It’s the staff of life. And as a mom and grandmother, I enjoy making treats to share. Thank you for all the good ideas your family shares. Happy Fall 🪸 Jane
This would make kitchen life so much easier! From making cookies to bread, I’m sure I could even find a use for it when it comes to processing a deer!
I mix alot of dough for bread, pizzas, pies, calzones and hand pies. This mixer would be perfect for my needs.
I’ve heard rave reviews from others who own this Bosch mixer….would love to have one of my own! Thanks so much for the giveaway!
As a family with severe food allergies and celiac disease we make everything from scratch. Having a more powerful mixer would be a huge help in the kitchen.
Oh wow, thank you for hosting this giveaway. This would replace my vintage mixer and proudly sit on the countertop, vintage one not allowed. Big enough definitely for doughs and double batch cookies and such.
I remember my mom getting a Bosch machine in 1982ish.. It was such a time saver. We were a family of 9 and made our own bread for the most part. I remember all of the kneading we did at her Hoosier cabinet. Boy were my younger brother and I happy and thrilled when she brought the Bosch home.
I would use this heavy duty mixer to simplify my extensive holiday baking–Danish coffee cakes, 13 varieties of cookies, and three kinds of bread. Then I would use the mixer every week to make homemade whole wheat bread, pizza dough, and that week’s dessert for Sunday dinner.
I’ve been looking at the Bosch mixers and hoping to buy one. If I win this, I’ll keep busy making bread with my fresh milled grains. Thank you!
Would be using it for mixing bread dough mostly, but also for all of my baking needs.
I am a baker of bread and big batch cookies, and am getting old. This mixer would definitely give these aging arms a rest from kneading and stirring!
Oh this mixer would really tackle a lot. I am just learning how to make homemade bread and rolls so this mixer would come in VERY HANDY!! Thank you for the opportunity to enter and fingers crossed 🤞, possibly win.
I bake bread for an online farmers market. This would save me much time. I have a small Bosch mixer.
I just started making sourdough bread and it would be a great help to be able to mix up a big batch.
Thank you for a chance at winning the Bosch mixer! I am a homeschooling mother of three. I would use the mixer to bake bread for ourselves and bread that I could sell at our local farmers market. We are trying to save for a house!
This would be great for all the cookies and bread that I make. My old mixer is starting to have problems. I don’t buy these things anymore as I prefer making from scratch.
I never had a great mixer and this one looks like it surpasses all mixers I’ve seen
We just bought a Bosch dishwasher and love the quality
Oooh, I’d use it to make bread dough! Also, chocolate chip cookie dough! The season will soon be here for all the baking! Thanks Laurie for hosting this incredible giveaway!
Thank you for the chance to win a great mixer! I would love to use it to make breads, especially Challah, which I haven’t yet been successful at!
I would try to use it all the ways for everything! Bread dough for sure would be on the list as my hand mixer can’t quite manage that.
Each Thanksgiving my 82 year old mother bakes bread for every household in her neighborhood. She just told me the arthritis in her hands, arms and shoulders will end her lovely tradition. I’d give the White Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer to her. Some traditions are worth keeping!
I have always wanted one of these mixers! I would use it for bread, cookies…..anything and everything!
I know that the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would be a game changer in my home! I grew up making bread with my mom from the time I could reach the counter! Now as a senior I still try to make it as I have done for many years, but can’t do it as often and easily as I and of course my family would like! The Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would give me a “helping hand” to make all the delicious baked goods I used to be able to do once again!
If I win this mixer it will never cool off because I am always in the kitchen baking, cooking and mixing!
I’m just starting my journey with sour dough bread and would use it for that and everything else I bake. I’ve baked yeast breads for many years so thought I would try something different. Thank you for this give away.
I would love this to make bread in. I would not have to mix and knead by hand.
I would use it to make my fresh milled bread, muffins and sweet bread every week 😊♥️
Thanks for the chance at this wonderful gift! I would love to win the White Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer because it would help with my baking. My arthritis has gotten painful over the years, and I don’t want to miss out on fresh bread.
Thank what a great give away idea. I would use it to make homemade bread and cookies. With ancient grains as that’s my goal for the next year. No more store bought baked goods
I would use this mixer to start making breads of all kinds and baking my buns off!~ Lol, pun intended.
Thank you for sponsoring this terrific giveaway. I would use it to make bread. I am trying to learn to make sourdough as well as yeast breads.
Making multiple loaves of bread and cookies at the same time? Yes! Please!!
grinding of wheat
If I win I will use if for baking bread with my grandson. He is home schooled and I live with him/my daughters family. My daughter has what I refer to as a “city homestead”….if it doesn’t feed us, it is not grown on this half acre city lot. We have learned so much from your newsletter!
Addison is very quiet and has some anxiety, and he and I have digestive issues. I learned by trial and error that we both benefit from eating only sourdough baked products. We did an experiment for part of his school lesson, and developed our own DIY sourdough starter. We share your newsletter via my computer and use many of the recipes and tips you so generously share.
Addison has taken basic bread recipes and made them better by adding in herbs or sweet things and has really expanded his skills. He is turning 17 soon and would love to start a small cottage baking business, but lacks the money for good equipment to do it on a larger scale. He would benefit from this amazing appliance if I am chosen.
Keep up the good work and sharing and bless you are your family.
I’ve just retired. I’ve been collecting bread recipes and the Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer is just the thing I need to start baking. Along with bread, the holidays are coming and it’s been suggested that the girls in the neighborhood should get together for a cookie day. I can’t think of a better appliance to bring to mix all those doughs together!
I started making sourdough sandwich bread about a year ago, and I have to mix it in two separate batches because my 250 max watt classic stand mixer isn’t powerful enough. I’m envious of the people who have more powerful mixers, and I’d love to be able to try new recipes. This Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer would be a dream!
This would be an AWESOME addition to my kitchen! I make most things from scratch but only have a hand mixer–some days it is not so easy to knead my bread and pizza dough. Good luck to everyone and thanks for the chance to win. 🙂
I would make more breads, seems like a quick and easy way to get that job done. 🙂
Everyday baking! 😋
The Bosch would be a gift for my niece for Christmas. She is a “crunchy mama” with 2 toddlers and I know she would put it to very good use.
I would love to have something to handle mixing the huge batches of cookies and desserts that I make for the holidays 😋
Homemade bread–YUMMY!
I would use the mixer to make a big batch of cinnamon rolls for Christmas.
I would be baking so much bread if I won. My family loves homemade bread. And with the holidays coming up, I’d normally be baking up a storm right now, but my mixer died a few months ago and it is so much harder to make bread in my tiny kitchen when I have to do it by hand.
Thank you for offering this giveaway. I am a vendor at our local farmers markets and bake 25-30 loaves of bread every week during the summer. I bake throughout the year too.
I would like to cook with my brand new daughter-in-law!
I love scratch baking. I would use my new White Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer to create: sourdough starters, bread loafs, rolls, muffins, popovers, fruit-filled mini’s, cakes, pie & pizza crusts!
Although your artisan bread is so easy to make by hand, (i’ve made it a dozen times) it would be nice to be able to put in all of the ingredients at once and sit back and read your blogs!
Well, I will still read them even if I am not making bread!
How would I use it! For literally every single thing. From whipped cream to big batches of bread!
I would love to make homemade breads, pizza dough, cookies , to make sourdough crackers.
I do a lot of baking for my family–breads, cookies, cakes–and this time of year is busy, busy, busy. The added extra is our house ends up smelling really good.
What a beautiful machine! I would love to use one to mix bread dough. Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway!
I am interested in the Bosch mixer to help my son who loves baking bread.
I have not had any devices to do any of my baking endeavors outside of my manual tools I was born with and a decent whisk and measuring cups. Owning a workhorse such as this would be a true blessing in my senior years now that I have the time and inspiration to produce enjoyable staples and treats.
I am hoping to learn to make bread and this Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer looks like it would make the job a whole lot easier!
I am a grandmother of 16! 10 boys, 6 girls.
They all love coming to my home for meals.
My oldest grandson was asked why he liked coming to visit. His answer: “the food”.
We alllll love bread and pastries. This would be amazing for such a crowd
I would give it to my friend that loves letting her daughter bake cookies. 🙂
I love to bake but always struggle to find enough time to make many recipes. Having this mixer would make things more efficient than hand mixing. Hand mixing large recipes takes a lot time.
I would love it to make lots of loaves of bread! My current mixer can barely handle two loaves at a time.
I would use the Bosch Universal Plus for just about everything. I do a lot of cooking and baking.
I’ve heard so much about this fancy mixer! I’ve only just begun my bread making journey recently. I’m slowly learning how to mill my own wheat berries and make fresh milled flour bread. One day, I would love to be able to replace most of the store bought bread products in our home with home made.
I would use my Bosch mixer to bake all my holiday goodies! Would never be able to afford it and could sure use it!
I have a Bosch mixer that I bought more than 40 years ago. I use my mixer to make bread, cakes, cookies, mash potatoes. In fact I use it for everything.
Reestablish my live for mindful baking.
I’d love to have a quality stand mixer.
I’d mostly make desserts with such a thing. mmm.
I might feel a little guilty about someone else who needs it more not getting it if I win, but I’d still enjoy the outcomes of using it.
love your postings Laurie
This would be amazing for baking bread, rolls, everything! Always thought this would be wonderful to have to make baking bigger batches easier so I can share easily with my family, neighbors and friends! I’m a senior so this would be a great help and time saver! Thank you for making this opportunity available!
Would love to have a mixer of my own .
I would try to replicate my mothers cinnamon rolls they were out of this world good
I love watching videos of bakers using the Bosch mixer! What a beautiful machine. I just know that is the mixer for me! I love making my own loaves of bread as I know what I’m putting in the mix. I don’t have to worry about all of the ingredients listed in store-bought breads. I love to prepare food for others and for holidays and this would just make the process easier. Thank you for this opportunity!
Hello! I’m dealing with some food sensitivities and pretty much making all my food from scratch. This would help immensely as I plan on baking bread too. I have your bread book already. 🙂
This would be a blessing! I am gluten free, and have to rely on my sister to make bread for me when she has time. (I haven’t found a store-bought gf bread yet that is edible!) Needless to say, it would be wonderful to be able to make my own gf bread and not have to bother her.
Thank you for this opportunity!
I have to eat gluten and dairy free. I am wanting to start a gluten free sourdough starter this winter, and would love the mixer for making bread and all the yummy sourdough baked goods! At some point in the next year, I want to try out freshly milled wheat flour and see if I can eat it. I would definitely use the mixer for making bread then!
I am finally retired and now have time to start my bread baking journey.
This will certainly make that easier as well as other scratch baking for the holidays and beyond.
For the past 40 years I have been using a hand mixed or just a good old wooden spoon to mix dough.
This Bosch Universal Plus would be a huge blessing! Thanks for the opportunity!!
I would make be able to bread for my family weekly. I make bread occasionally, but it’s time consuming. I usually end up buying bread that we really don’t want to eat.
I make lots bread for my family( they are all grown up with families) so I’d use the mixer to make it easier!! And save time
I would use it for bread dough and baking healthy cakes and muffins. Mmmmm
I would use this mixer to make all kinds of goodies for family, neighbors, church members and those in need.
I would love to use this mixer for everything.
I would make our Christmas kolaches with this mixer as I can no longer do it by hand.
I make all of my bread. This would be ideal for me to make the different types of breads that I make. I also make rolls and buns and of course, the cinnamon rolls. This would save me a lot of time.
I have RA, so this would make mixing bread dough soooo much easier!!
l have made bread for years, sharing with family and friends. Even sending bread to my son in the Army. now that I am getting older (79), this would really help.
I would use this for cookies, cakes, bread, and in time I’d buy some other attachments. It would be lovely to win.
In our senior years, my husband and I garden large gardens and produce most of our own food for ourselves and 2 grandchildren. Winning the Bosch Universal Mixer would allow us to streamline our bread production and get us back to planting, mulching and food production.
Thank you Nutrimill and Laurie for this opportunity.
I would love to be able to easily prepare breads! I am still mixing, and kneading my bread dough by hand.
I love to bake and having to be gluten free, I do a lot of baking but could be doing more. Currently I am using a second-hand, heavy duty mixer bought at an auction when my long-time mixer of 37 years started sounding like a rock crusher and wasn’t so reliable any more. But it is difficult to manipulate the stiff push buttons of the “new one,” so I haven’t been baking as often. The Bosch Universal looks like it would allow me to resume baking routine I had and possibly change the breadmaking routine so I would be able to create a variety of baked goods for our home, family gatherings and to share with friends with the joy that baking brings me. There is nothin’ like lovin’ baking in the oven.
I was strolling through the internet looking for zucchini recipes this fall, when I learned about zucchini flour! (I really like zucchini! I planted seven different varieties this summer, hoping for a surplus. Well…. The bunnies, wood rats and chipmunks helped themselves, but I still had a few baseball bat specimens that had escaped the tender time of picking). I am now baking bread with my dehydrated powdered zucchini! Egg, milk and wheat allergies curtail my baking menu, but this mixer would enable me to create “that green Seussian bread” that just doesn’t last very long. Thank you for the recipes, the stories and this mixer opportunity!
I’m assuming you mean because it tastes so good? But it does remind me that I always put at least a little dried ground rosemary in my breads. I can leave my bread on the counter for days without it molding.
I would use my new Universal Plus Mixer to make homemade bread for my family. Fourteen pounds of dough would wonderful.
I would love to win this new mixer.
Thank you !!!!
I recently started baking sourdough bread but since I don’t have a heavy duty mixer, I have to knead it by hand. I would love to have one of these.
I am thinking of starting to make sour dough bread. lol lies loaves! I was thinking on making and selling for a ministry at my church. This would make making large batches so much easier. This is a great contest prize!
Bread making!!
Oh my gosh, sounds too good to be true! I would never buy bread again. The heavenly smell of baking bread everyday!!!!!!
I would love this for bread making and other treats for my family.
Since my stroke I have stopped baking bread because I can’t knead it properly. The mixers I have just can’t knead the dough properly and I can’t afford a new appliance. I also love baking cookies and this would make it so much easier! That is how I would use it.
The Bosch Universal Plus mixer would be my right hand (and left hand) “man” for kneading homemade bread, cookies, whipping egg whites for meringues, and a myriad of other things! Please also give a thank you to Nutramill for participating in the giveaway and for all of their top notch milling machines.
I’ve been looking at one of these mixers. I make lots of sourdough products. This would makes things so easy.
I am learning how to make my own… still learning. this mixer would really help out.
Would use it for everything! Make all our own bread and would use the attachments for all our veggie and fruit prep for canning.
I bake a lot for my husband and I and our children and their families. I don’t know when I bought anything from the store. I presently have a stand-up mixer which I bought in the 70’s and have been thinking of replacing it. As a senior citizen this is a good size for us. Thank you for offering it,
I would use the mixer for primarily making breads and baking etc. As of recently, my kids and I have been trying to make alot of our own food. We have been preserving some of the foods that we have grown in our small garden. They also eat alot of bread and its scary how long bread in the stores can last. So many preservatives! The kids have really enjoyed making our own food and its getting them healthier along the way. We would love to win this mixer. Please consider 🙂
As a seasoned citizen, 😉 this would help immensely with my baking projects 😀
I love oatmeal cookies so I would use it for those. I have never tried using a mixer to make my mothers homemade bisquits but that is something I could use it for also. Enter me in the drawing.
I bake bread and this mixer would help with mixing the dough.
I would use it for bread dough and cookie dough to handle my double-triple batches!
I would use it for yeasted doughs! My hands no longer work like they used to, and I bake bread weekly for my family. What a joy to let a Bosch do my kneading!
I would use it to mix up my sourdough that I bake every week. My mixer is about 45 or 46 years old, so I would love to replace it with the Bosch Universal Plus Mixer! I make everything homemade, pies, cakes, cookies, candies, sourdough pretzels, Welsh Cookies, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sourdough pizza crust, etc.
Please pick me!!!!!!
I would use it to make our weekly bread and bagels. I’m tired of kneading dough by hand and having to deal with my fingers cramping the next day.
I would use the mixer for homemade bread which is sooooo good!!!!
I’d use it for everything I could!
